“ Had lunch here recently with family. While I've seen many Hoshino branches when I visited Japan, I never went in so my comments are being made without the context of "Hoshino in Japan". The ambiance was alright and the floor layout was alright as well. The kitchen could be a little quicker in getting our orders out despite having only one table ordering ahead of us. Chicken Karaage (P198 for 5pcs) was so-so. The chicken was tender but the outer layer could be crunchier. You could taste the soy sauce on the meat but I found myself looking for some salt to sprinkle on top of the chicken. Hoshino Spaghetti (P428) was okay. It's something I would describe as a garden spaghetti with lots of vegetables and also some pieces of bacon and sausage. I think this is nice because it's not something you'd usually find in other restaurants, but at the same time it's not something so unusual or special to go out of your way to try. Lobster Bisque Soup Spaghetti (P588) was okay as well. If you've had lobster bisque soup before, this is pretty much that soup turned into a sauce and cooked with spaghetti noodles. I'm not really a fan of lobster bisque soup so this was my least favorite from our orders. I also don't think there was lobster meat in the dish but there was shimp instead. Same comment on the dish not being something you'd usually find in other restaurants. Mentaiko and Salmon Carbonara (P588) was okay. I'm a fan of mentaiko and I think this fusion works here. I'd say this my favorite among our orders and would prefer this over a regular carbonara (guanciale and all). Pork & Mozzarella Cutlet Plate (P488) is not pictured but was probably the most "normal" dish we had. It was okay and far from spectacular. The tonkatsu was firm, a little dry, but tender enough for you to bite on and chew. The mozzarella is quite a bit less than the amount you see in the menu and the fries were pretty normal and something you can achieve from home. Altogether, I liked the food. It was not spectacular that I'd seek the restaurant out, but good enough that I'd happily explore the menu the next time I visit a branch. I liked that the menu options are a little different from the Japanese restaurants that you commonly see locally. As someone who likes yoshoku, I'm happy to have this as an option locally without having to go to Japan. The restaurant is a fast casual chain so it's closer in price to Chili's and TGI Friday's than Sukiya and Yoshinoya. The prices are honestly a bit rich for me, but reasonable considering the prices in all other restaurants; it's not a deal but it's not stealing from you. At least for the pasta, it would be reasonable to order these for sharing, or better yet the restaurant can look into half-orders. ”

“ Had dinner and the staff were really friendly and attentive. The tonkatsu curry had thick and juicy pork cutlets but the curry was a bit mild in my opinion. Matcha latte was great!! ”

“ We stopped by Hoshino Coffee at Opus Mall for a quick bite and ended up really enjoying it. We had the hot chocolate and the beefy sliced cheese sandwich simple but really satisfying. The sandwich was cheesy hearty and flavorful, and the hot chocolate was rich and comforting but a little too sweet. The place has a nice, laid-back vibe, perfect for taking a break from the mall. Staff were polite and service was quick, which we appreciated. It’s a bit on the pricier side for café food, but the quality and experience made it worth it. We’ll definitely be back to try more next time. ”

“ A restaurant that offers Japanese with Western fusion. Japanese coffee and treats are great, I especially love the soufflé. Pasta offerings are lovely and I especially love the Hoshino pot-baked curry rice dish. I appreciate that the excessive bow is part of the restaurant's image but I find it a bit odd. Perhaps it's just me. ”
